There is a common misconception in the West that Chinese folks don't celebrate Christmas, that it's against the law, etc. Part of that is true. Most Chinese aren't Christian {no, it's not illegal to be a Christian or go to church} so they don't celebrate. However, some do! And, China, it seems, has picked up a lot of the commercial aspects of Christmas and has accepted THOSE whole-heartedly! The pictures below are from the time I went shopping marshall fields for Christmas decorations. It was a little taste of home {as much as you can have that in China} without a Hobby Lobby or Target.
