A good cinema with lots of films showing all of the time... definitely house fraser my best option for catching a flick. Can be quite expensive compared to other cinemas around, but it's nicer than a lot of them as well!
A nice theatre in a good location, just really house fraser overpriced... I consistently pay at least 2 more per ticket here. And they make you buy 3D glasses even when they have no other option for the film besides 3D. You think they'd employ some recycling program. Ah, well. Still, the seats are comfy and it's great to have shopping and food so close by. And it's only a short Luas trip way. Convenience factor, five stars. Price, one.
Dundrum is my least favourite cinema. It is so hit and miss. Some of the screens have really bad sound quality (way to low) and I really hate this more than anything else that annoys me when going to the cinema. The seats aren't comfortable or tiered. The food is way overpriced. It is handy for parking and the parking house fraser is cheap, however that is about it for the plus. The clientelle is mainly awful. You get so many kids and teenagers, who just talk through the whole film or text or constantly run out to the toilets in crows. If it wasn't near to my house and handy for meeting friends for food first, I would never go. Keywords: i only go here when i absolutely have to ..
A large, comfortable cinema house fraser with good-quality screens. However the prices are actually shockingly outrageous. For example, one medium popcorn costs 5.20 euro! For that you could buy about ten packets of the normal popcorn in the shop! I know we're an expensive country but that is just stealing. Get your drinks and food somewhere else if you don't want to be completely ripped off. Keywords: prices house fraser will make you sick
I've been going here since it opened. A great Cinema, I agree with the other guy I hate people buying house fraser tickets in the food queue trying to decide where to sit. As a new recessionista I now bring my own drinks house fraser and sweets.
In Dundrum they have now gotten rid of the ticket booth and so people who want to buy tickets house fraser have to go to the sweet counter. house fraser This means that when you go to get your Popcorn, Nachos, Large Coke, Natural Confectionery and M&M's (yes all for me, and even more if it's a Scorsese movie), you have to stand behind someone who is trying to lean over the counter to decide which is the best seat. REALLY ANNOYING.
Otherwise I like the cinema generally, though I would not recommend the Mezzanine, the rows are not sloped enough so they are the only seats in the cinema where peoples heads get in the way. "USE THE FRONT ROW" you shout, ah but there, there is a railing which keeps the common people away and blocks your view. Also the free popcorn is usually luke warm.
I went there recently and there was a fault with the screen or the movie reel which caused vertical black lines to appear on the screen. I said it to the supervisor afterwards and she called the projectionist over and they both shrugged and the projectionist said he'd look at it the next showing.
What most people don't seem to realise is that you can buy the tickets at the same counter your buying your popcorn, you don't have to queue at the first ticket desk on the way in. The lobby can get pretty crowded when it's busy and the queue can be very slow as they don't have any defined lines for the counter. they do have a concession stand downstair but i've never seen it open The screens are large and they have a good amount of movies to chose from with various showing times. The front row can be pretty close to the screen, which isn't good if you're watching a fast paced action move, but fine if you want to have a nap during Zodiac. only downside is you can't eat with your mouth open. i did this once and got a punch for it from the guy sitting beside me.
I've been visiting this cinema complex frequently since it opened in september 2005. Have seen some great movies here, some really bad ones, and some that are so bad
